Vince Rocchetti

Vince Rocchetti – Clinical Counsellor & Addictions and Recovery Specialist in Vancouver & Across Can

Vince Rocchetti is a clinical counsellor and addictions and recovery specialist based in Vancouver, BC. After his own 10‑year battle with drug addiction, he is now in his ninth year of sobriety and devotes his work to helping others with addictions and mental health concerns. Vince offers secure online counselling with some evening and weekend availability, so you can access support from Vancouver or anywhere in Canada, without adding extra travel or disruption to your schedule.

Who Vince works with

Vince works with people who are directly and indirectly impacted by addiction and mental health challenges, including:

  • Individuals struggling with substance use (such as drugs or alcohol) or other addictive behaviours.
  • People dealing with mental health concerns alongside addiction.
  • Couples and families navigating the negative impact of addiction and various mental health disorders.
  • Loved ones who want to understand addiction better and support change while also caring for themselves.

Experience and background

Vince brings both professional training and lived experience to his work. After a 10‑year struggle with drug addiction, he now draws on his own recovery journey to connect with clients in a grounded, non‑judgmental way. He received his certificate in counselling from the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training and has extensive experience working in British Columbia counselling centres including Into Action, Pacifica Treatment Centre, and Covenant House. This background has given him deep experience with addiction, recovery, and the many ways mental health concerns show up in people’s lives.

How Vince works

Using person‑centred therapies to establish a strong therapeutic alliance is Vince’s starting point with every client. He focuses on creating a safe, steady relationship first, then gently invites you to look at your thought processes, traumas, and overall lifestyle so you can understand what is keeping you stuck and what might help you move forward. Vince draws on narrative therapy, talk therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to support clients in making realistic, sustainable changes in their day‑to‑day lives.

In sessions, Vince will:

  • Meet you where you are in your readiness for change.
  • Encourage honest reflection about substance use, mental health, and relationships.
  • Help you explore your story, your beliefs about yourself, and the patterns that keep repeating.
  • Work with you to identify small, practical steps that support your wellbeing and recovery.

Areas of focus

People often come to Vince for support with:

  • Drug or alcohol addiction and other addictive behaviours.
  • Mental health concerns that show up alongside addiction.
  • Trauma and its impact on current choices and relationships.
  • Couples and families who have been affected by addiction or mental health disorders and want to heal and reconnect.

Location and availability

Vince provides counselling through a secure online platform, making it easier to access support from wherever you are. From Vancouver, he works with clients across British Columbia and in other Canadian provinces and territories where he is able to practice. He offers some evening and weekend appointments to help counselling fit around work, school, family responsibilities, and the realities of early recovery.
